FAQ

Things we'd ask if we visited for the first time

What is an agent for product managers?

An agent for Product Managers is simply an AI that can take instructions and perform the same actions as a human could. In Nalvin's case this means being able to e.g. read your tickets, send a message in Slack or use your recent releases to create a product update. The agent-element comes from being able to independently reason and take action. But then again, AI is mostly buzzwords. At the end of the day "Agent" is just a fancy word for really smart software.

Are you an agent for product managers or product teams?

You could argue both. In Sweden we have this saying "Kärt barn har många namn", translating into "A dear child has many names". The same could be same for the role of a Product Manager, it comes in all shapes, forms and names. Ultimately Nalvin is an agent built to help those building products. What you call yourself is less important, we just want to make sure you get more time to do just that, build products.

How does it actually work?

Nalvin consists of 3 components: 1. A collection of tools. This includes tools to search for data, get data and analyze it, send messages etc. 2. The ability to reason. Nalvin decides when to use which tool and why. 3. We guide Nalvin by creating playbooks. Think of these as an instruction to a junior PM on how to solve specific tasks. These outline best product practices and which tools to use and why. Combine the 3 and you have a system that can take instruction, reason, take action and ultimately give you the outcome you want. For all the technical people out there, it's a combination of an agentic router, MCPs, traditional integrations, RAG and a whole lot of indexing.

I can't use external tools due to data concerns, how does that work?

That's a valid concern. If your company prohibits you from trying out new tools there's not much we can do. However not all use-cases require the same amount of access. We're more than happy to speak with whomever internally decides which tools to try or not. At the end of the day we've built Nalvin to treat your data as we would like our own to be. Safe, Secure and not trained on.

Can Nalvin do anything?

No. Nalvin is built to solve specific tasks that product teams face every week. It can't book your next vacation to the Bahamas but it can create a sprint review in seconds.

Do you want to replace Product Managers?

Not at all. We believe that as AI agents become more advanced both in terms of research and coding the role of the product manager will become more important than ever. If anyone can build anything, the real challenge will be what us product people know. It's about the "why".

How much does Nalvin cost?

Some workflows are completely free. Most are included in the Pro plan for $99 monthly, this gives you unlimited access to these workflows. Some workflows are more complex and require a little bit of human assistance (us) to customize them for larger organizations or more complex tasks. For these you can simply reach out to us.
